The Server and Tools Business (STB) China organization is looking for an experienced Lab Engineer to drive lab excellence. If you are excited by the prospect of working in one of the largest R&D lab in Microsoft China this opportunity may be for you. You will work closely with STB China developers and testers to design and implement the excellent lab solutions and provide best practices and services. You will contribute to the STB China Engineering Excellence efforts and will have prominent exposure to the STB China R&D Leadership Team.
Core Responsibilities:
· Design, implement and maintain the servers, systems, network infrastructure and facilities necessary to develop and test Server and Tools products.
· Understand complex dev and test problems and requirements, and then work closely with developers and testers to design, communicate, deliver and maintain the lab solutions.
· Administrate servers, systems, and infrastructure in areas such as automatic OS setup, data backup, system health monitoring, and scheduled maintenance.
· Be part of R&D Engineering Excellence team to improve the lab usage efficiency by facilitating R&D efforts from lab aspect.
· Optimize and document the lab processes and design and deliver lab user education.
· Provide analytical lab reports, strategic suggestions and evaluative solution information for leadership team to make business decisions.
· Participate in the new R&D lab design and build in Shanghai and ensure the smooth migration.
· Interact with the third-party product and service providers to ensure their service level.

Qualifications:
· 4+ years network/system/support engineer experience, with develop and test background is preferred.
· Proficiency in network design, configuration and troubleshooting including switching, routing, VLANs, SNMP and etc. Certifications like CCNP or CCIE would be an added advantage.
· Experience on Dell / HP mainstream server and storage configuration, diagnostic and troubleshooting.
· Strong knowledge of Windows scripting, Microsoft operating system and domain knowledge.
· Ability to communicate complex content with strong analytical and organizational skills and drive for long-term solutions and deliver short-term fixes.
· Passionate to learn new technologies and take big challenges under pressure.
· Excellent customer service skills and strong written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English.
· A bachelor or master degree in Computer Science or equivalent field is required.
