SQL Server has designated China as one of its 3 strategic R&D sites world-wide. With offices in both Beijing and Shanghai, the SQL Server China R&D Center is chartered to work on a variety of established core product components as well as driving innovation in new technology areas.

The SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) China team is looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer to build and lead a new development team for SSIS. The SSIS product is already making great headway in the ETL market, and we have plans to expand it beyond the traditional ETL definition by leveraging “better together” with our partners and the rest of the Microsoft platform.

As the Lead Software Developer, you will be responsible for running an excellent development team that is focused on key new functional developments for the SSIS product. You will design feature areas of the product and be responsible for all new development on those features. To be successful in this position, you must be able to adapt to and improve software development processes to meet the demands of cross-team collaboration. And you must also have excellent technical and design skills for enterprise software products---products that require top-notch reliability, performance and usability.

Experience with data warehousing, ETL, Data Quality solutions is a plus, but not required.

Requirements:
5 year+ professional development experience for a commercial enterprise product (database, operating system, email server, etc.).
Proficient in C++ and C# or Java; COM experience required.
3 year+ software development management experience.
A BS degree or better in Computer Science; Masters degree preferred.
Fluent in English; Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) preferred.
